Connectivity
Malta uses EU-compatible power sockets (Type G three-pin) and has good mobile coverage with all major EU carriers. WiFi is widely available in cafes and restaurants.
Culture
Gozitans are proud of their distinct identity and slower pace of life compared to Malta. Locals commonly call Victoria 'Rabat' rather than its official British-era name.
Money
Malta uses the Euro (€). ATMs are widely available. Most establishments accept cards, though some smaller shops and markets prefer cash.
Safety
Victoria and Gozo are generally very safe for travelers. The car-free Citadella is peaceful and well-lit in evenings.
Transport
Victoria is Gozo's main bus hub. Most routes radiate from the central bus station near Independence Square. Buses to Mgarr ferry, Ramla Bay, Marsalforn, and Xaghra run regularly except Sundays when service is minimal.
