Overview
Velletri is a sizeable town of over 50,000 inhabitants in the Alban Hills region southeast of Rome. While WWII bombing destroyed most historic monuments, it retains a modest authenticity and serves as an inexpensive alternative base for visiting Rome or exploring Lazio's wine country.
