Vehari is a working agricultural city of 145,000 people in Southern Punjab, known for cotton processing factories, cottonseed oil plants, and seasonal mango and guava harvests. It lacks conventional tourist attractions but serves as a practical stop on the southern alternate route between Multan and Lahore, lying roughly 20-30 miles east of the main northern route.
