Overview
Vallon-Pont-d'Arc is a small town in the Ardèche region famous for housing the Grotte Chauvet-Pont d'Arc, a UNESCO World Heritage Site inscribed in 2014 featuring exceptionally preserved prehistoric cave paintings. The town sits at the gateway to the Gorges de l'Ardèche, making it the primary departure point for canoe and kayak trips along one of France's most spectacular rivers.
