Overview
Ullastret is a tiny fortified medieval village in Costa Brava, built atop a gentle elevation with well-preserved walls encircling narrow, steep streets. The municipality sits on the right bank of the Daró River, and visitors come primarily to explore the Ciutat Ibèrica d'Ullastret—the largest Iberian urban center discovered in Catalonia—plus the Romanesque Sant Pere d'Ullastret church and medieval castle ruins.
