Transport
The Gareji Line shuttle bus (40 lari round-trip) runs April-October from Tbilisi to David Gareja. No direct public transport reaches Udabno village. Private car or taxi from Tbilisi is the alternative.
Weather
The semi-desert climate means hot summers and cold, windy winters. Bring layers and sun protection. The monastery has no shade.
