Overview
Tuusula is a suburban municipality about 30 km north of Helsinki, offering a quiet counterpoint to the capital with lakeside scenery and cultural heritage. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Lake Tuusula (Tusby träsk) attracted Finnish painters and artists who built summer cottages along its shores, several now converted into museums.
