Nightlife
Troy restricts liquor licenses limiting nightlife. Many restaurants have bars but dedicated nightclubs are scarce. Party listings can be found in Real Detroit Weekly.
Shopping
Troy is a major regional shopping destination with the Somerset Collection featuring luxury retailers including Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Nordstrom. Several other malls and shopping centers offer more affordable options.
Transport
A car is necessary to navigate Troy's sprawling suburban layout. SMART buses provide limited public transit. Amtrak serves Troy Transit Center on the Wolverine line between Detroit and Pontiac.
