Overview
Travemünde is the closest borough of Lübeck to the Baltic Sea, offering 1.7 km of pristine white sand beach since its designation as a seaside resort (Seebad) in 1802. The town combines maritime heritage with ferry connections to Scandinavia and the Baltic states, making it both a beach destination and transit hub.
