Torroella de Montgrí is a traditional Catalan town in Costa Brava that served as the Royal Port for the Kings of Aragon before Palamós was founded. The main draw is Montgrí Castle, an unfinished 13th-century fortress perched on a hilltop with commanding views over the surrounding countryside and coastline.
