Overview
Torgau appeals to history enthusiasts and Reformation pilgrims who want to explore where Martin Luther and his colleagues drafted the Torgau Confession in 1530. The town calls itself the "nurse of Reformation" (while Wittenberg was the "mother"), and Luther's wife Katharina von Bora is buried in St Mary's Church.
