Overview
Todmorden is a pleasant, considerably less visited alternative to its better-known neighbour Hebden Bridge, sitting at the far west of Calderdale where West Yorkshire borders Greater Manchester and Lancashire. The town offers historic architecture including a Tudor Old Hall and an imposing Town Hall with carved stone pediment representing Lancashire's cotton industry and Yorkshire's engineering heritage.
