Overview
Tintagel draws visitors primarily for its associations with King Arthur—the medieval castle perched dramatically on the North Cornwall clifftops is claimed as his legendary birthplace. The village itself is small and easily walked in an hour, but the surrounding coastline offers dramatic walks, hidden coves, and the atmospheric Merlin's Cave accessible at low tide.
