Overview
Terrace sits at the meeting point of the Skeena River and the Coast Mountains in northwestern British Columbia, serving as the region's retail and service hub for communities across the north. The city was once the cedar pole capital of the world—over 50,000 telephone and power poles were manufactured here annually, and the world's tallest pole (50 metres) cut in Terrace still stands in New York City.
