Tamanrasset is generally safe, but the extreme Saharan Desert heat is the primary risk. Stay hydrated and wear appropriate sun protection.

Aguenar-Hadj Bey Akhamok Airport (TMR) is 7 km northwest of the city centre, serving domestic flights to major Algerian cities.
