Overview
Tabuaeran (also called Fanning Island or Fanning Atoll) is one of the remote Northern Line Islands in Kiribati. It offers a pristine, largely undeveloped Pacific atoll experience with a beautiful lagoon shoreline, soft sand beaches, and coral areas.

US dollars are generally accepted on the island. No ATMs or banks exist on Tabuaeran.

Standard Pacific island precautions apply. Be aware of coral when swimming and respect local property when hiking.
Shopping
No conventional shops exist. Local crafts and trinkets may be available from residents.
Transport
Access is by boat from Christmas Island (Kiritimati) or via occasional cruise ship calls. No airport on the atoll.
