Overview
Swindon is a large town of around 220,000 people in Wiltshire, southwest England, that played a central role in British railway history as home to the Great Western Railway works founded by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. The restored railway works now houses Europe's largest indoor designer outlet, while the Steam Museum showcases the town's industrial heritage with exhibits including former fastest locomotive Caerphilly Castle and Queen Victoria's personal carriage.

Transport
Swindon railway station is immediately north of the town centre with GWR mainline services to Bristol, Bath, London Paddington, and Reading. The M4 motorway passes north of town with J15/J16 access.
