Overview

Stamford is Connecticut's fourth-largest city and a major corporate hub in Fairfield County, but it functions primarily as an affluent NYC bedroom community. The downtown and adjacent neighborhoods have genuine big-city energy—restaurants, bars, and arts venues—while the northern sections transition to quieter suburban Connecticut.
