History
The city is dedicated to Abraham Lincoln: his preserved 1860s home (free tours), presidential museum ($7.50 adults), Old State Capitol where he gave his 'House Divided' speech, and his tomb in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Safety
Downtown panhandling has increased near bars. Otherwise, use standard urban precautions. The city is safe for exploring historic sites during daylight.
Transport
SMTD local buses cost $1.25 with free transfers. 17 routes cover the city daytime Monday-Saturday, with limited night service Monday-Friday. No bus service to the airport.
