Overview
Spijkenisse is a practical stop on the Dutch delta, connected to Rotterdam's metro system yet retaining a historic centre around the Voorstraat dike. The town is best used as a base for exploring the Delta Works, Brielle's Eighty Years War history, or the Hook of Holland beach, all reachable as day trips via metro and bus.
