Overview
Sluis is a small historic city in Zeelandic Flanders that makes for an ideal day trip from nearby Bruges or as a stop between the Netherlands and Belgium. Despite being largely destroyed by Allied bombs at the end of WWII, the city was nicely rebuilt and retains its medieval belfry (the only one in the Netherlands), a 1739 windmill called De Brak right in the centre, and historic ramparts.
