Overview
Slane is a tiny village of 1400 residents in County Meath, best known as the site where St Patrick lit a Easter bonfire in defiance of the pagan king at Tara. It sits near the world-famous Brú Na Bóinne Neolithic archaeological complex, and is home to the Slane Distillery housed in the old castle stables.
