Overview
Skibbereen (An Sciobairín, 'the little boat harbour') is a small village of 2900 residents in southwest County Cork. It's most known for its tragic Famine history — up to 10,000 victims are buried in a mass grave at Abbeystrowry Cemetery.

Bus Éireann 237 connects Skibbereen to Cork every two hours (1h 45min). Bus 270 from Killarney via Bantry runs three times daily year-round.
