Overview
Skadar Lake National Park protects the Montenegrin two-thirds of Lake Skadar, the largest lake in the Balkans. The park offers a rare combination of dramatic karst mountain scenery, over 260 bird species including the endangered Dalmatian pelican, traditional fishing villages with islet monasteries, and pristine beaches—all within a Ramsar-protected wetland since 1996.
