Overview
Sinuiju serves as North Korea's primary border crossing with China, connected to the Chinese city of Dandong by the Sino-Korea Friendship Bridge. For most travelers, this is less a destination to visit independently and more a vantage point observed from Dandong.

Independent entry into Sinuiju is extremely restricted; most visitors experience the city from Dandong, China, via organized tours or observation boats.
Transport
Sinuiju railway station connects to Pyongyang and Beijing. The small local airport has limited flights primarily from Pyongyang.

Local tap water is not considered safe; residents rely on imported Chinese bottled water from across the border.
