Overview
Shirdi is a revered pilgrimage center in North Maharashtra, India, where the saint Sai Baba lived from 1856 until his samadhi (burial) in 1918. Today, millions of devotees from around the world visit annually to pay respects at the Sai Baba Temple.

Safety
Pickpockets operate during temple darshan queues. Beware of touts who expect inflated-price purchases. Dust can be an issue for those with allergies.
Transport
Shirdi Airport is 14 km southwest at Kakadi with flights to Hyderabad and Mumbai. The railway station (SNSI) has Vande Bharat Express from Mumbai and connections from Chennai and Bangalore.
Weather
Best time to visit is January-March. Peak pilgrim season is September-November during Hindu festivals. Avoid April-June summer heat.
