Standard urban precautions apply. Town center is walkable. Some rural attractions like Guangdong Grand Canyon have limited facilities—come prepared.

Shaoguan Station and East Station serve different rail lines—check your ticket for the correct station. Buses to major sights depart from the terminal next to the train station.
Weather
April-June is the wettest season with 200-300mm monthly rainfall. Summer is hot and humid (33°C). Winter is cool (7-8°C minimum). October-November are driest months.
