Shannon Airport is the main entry point with Aer Lingus and Ryanair flights from Europe/UK and daily USA connections. Bus 343 connects to Limerick. Taxis cost €30 to Bunratty, €60 to Limerick or Ennis.

Mild maritime climate: winter lows 3-8°C, summer highs rarely above 20°C. Rain is frequent year-round. Always pack a raincoat.
