Overview
Seixal is a working-class industrial city on the Tagus River estuary, 15 km south of Lisbon across the 25th April Bridge. The city is historically significant as the shipyard where Vasco da Gama and his brother Paulo built the vessels for the 1498 voyage to India, launching the Portuguese Age of Discovery.
