Overview
Sechelt is a coastal community of 10,200 on the lower Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, bounded by Halfmoon Bay to the west and Roberts Creek to the east. It offers 35 km of Pacific Ocean shoreline, old-growth forests, and access to diving at Skookumchuck Narrows rated by diving magazines and the Cousteau Society.

Sechelt Hospital (5544 Sunshine Coast Hwy) is the only hospital on the lower Sunshine Coast with 24/7 emergency department.

Transport
BC Transit buses connect Sechelt with Gibsons, the Langdale ferry terminal, and Halfmoon Bay. The Sunshine Coast Connector shuttle runs between ferry terminals. Taxis available for local travel.
Weather
Pacific Northwest climate with mild temperatures. Best conditions for outdoor activities occur in summer months. August hosts three major festivals including the Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts.
