Overview
Scranton is a historic northeastern Pennsylvania city known for its 19th-century coal mining and railroad heritage. The city gained renewed American cultural prominence from 2005-2013 as the setting of the US version of The Office, and is the birthplace of President Joe Biden.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport (AVP) is 20 minutes from downtown with flights to Atlanta, Charlotte, and Chicago. Interstate 81 runs through the area connecting to Binghamton (north) and Harrisburg (south).
