Transport
Bayerische Oberlandbahn regional trains connect Schliersee to Munich via Holzkirchen roughly hourly from 07:00-23:00. Journey takes 70-90 minutes. Buses run from Schliersee station to Spitzingsee ski resort.

Alpine climate with cold winters and mild summers. Snow coverage most reliable December-April. Summer hiking best May-September. Weekends crowded with Munich day-trippers.
