Sassari is the second-largest city in Sardinia with over 130,000 inhabitants and one of the island's oldest cities. It serves as the capital of the homonymous province in the northwest corner of the island.

Major museums charge around €2.50-€3 admission. Museo Nazionale G.A. Sanna was closed for restoration as of early 2020.

Infosassari tourist office at Via Sebastiano Satta, 13 in Palazzo di Città. Open Tu-F 09:00-13:30, 15:00-18:00; Sa 09:00-13:30.
Transport
ATP Sassari buses: 90-min ticket €1.30 (€1.80 onboard). Daily pass with Metrosassari €3.30. ZTL restricted traffic zones exist in historic centre.
