Coastal pollution and occasional brownouts affect the area. Always check weather conditions before island hopping. Turtle eggs on White Island should not be disturbed.
Transport
Motored tricycles are the main mode of transport within town. Jeepneys connect to other Mindoro towns. Pump boats charter from Caminawit Port to islands.
Weather
Best visited November to May during the dry season. Rainy season from June to October may disrupt ferry and boat services.
