Overview
Saint Simons Island is a historic coastal island in southern Georgia along the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. The island is known for its distinctive gold-colored salt marshes that inspired poet Sidney Lanier, a 104-foot lighthouse with museum, and seven golf courses.

Alcohol sales stop at 11:45PM M-Sa; no sales on Sunday except in restaurants after 12:30PM.

Georgia law prohibits smoking in restaurants except venues without patrons under 18 or with separate ventilation.

Transport
The F.J. Torras Causeway is the only road access to the island, with a high bridge for large ships. Bike rentals available island-wide.
