Saint-Émilion is a medieval wine town perched atop a hill overlooking the Dordogne valley, located 35 km northeast of Bordeaux. The town is an open-air museum with a unique monilithic church carved underground and over 70 hectares of underground excavations to explore.

Transport
Bordeaux to Libourne by TER train (~45 min, ~€10), then taxi or bus to Saint-Émilion. Driving takes ~40 min from Bordeaux. Town is walkable; cars restricted.
