Overview
Rossland is a small mountain city of 3,700 people (2016) nestled inside the crater of a dormant volcano in the Kootenay Range of Southern British Columbia. Originally built in the 1890s as a gold mining town, Rossland has evolved into a year-round outdoor destination famous for its excellent ski and mountain bike trails.

Rossland is walkable with steep hills; BC Transit provides regional bus service Monday to Saturday. Red Mountain Resort is about 10 minutes from downtown via Highway 3B.
