Overview
Roscrea is a small town (population 5500 in 2022) in County Tipperary with several medieval buildings, notably the castle. It's a quiet alternative to busier Irish heritage destinations, offering a 13th-century castle with guided tours, a restored watermill with St Cronan's High Cross, and a round tower from around 1100.
