Overview
Rockwood Park is a conservation area operated by the Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) featuring a dramatic karst landscape of rocky cliffs, natural potholes, caves, and a lake. The park receives over 65,000 visitors annually and is popular for hiking, weddings, and watersports.

Before you go
Camping
Camping available May 1 to Oct 15 only. Up to 6 people per campsite. Check-in after 2 PM, checkout before noon.
Fees
Day use costs $7.08 CAD for adults (2023 rates). Camping through Grand River Parks website with 46 serviced, 16 full-service, and 43 unserviced sites.
Food
Food concession near beach open weekends in June, daily July-August. Ice cream trailer on beach. Stores within 500m of gatehouse.
Safety
No lifeguards at the beach. Trails pass steep cliffs and gorges. Currents in the Eramosa River reservoir can change suddenly. Ice safety concerns in winter.
Transport
The park is on Fall St S off Hwy 7; GO buses connect Guelph and Georgetown. Car is recommended for accessing campgrounds and the mill ruins.
Weather
Park open year-round for day use. Best time for hiking and camping is May through October. Caves accessible Apr 1 - Oct 15 only.
