Overview
Rangkasbitung is the capital of Lebak regency in Banten province, positioned about 80 km from Central Jakarta on the western edge of Greater Jakarta's metropolitan area. While the city itself is modest, it serves as the essential transit hub for accessing the unique Baduy villages to the south—traditional Sundanese communities that have largely avoided modern contact.
