Orca viewing kayaking tours peak July-August. Nuyumbalees Cultural Centre open May-August, 10AM-4PM daily.

All prices in Canadian dollars (CAD). Cash and debit preferred on-island; credit cards accepted at larger accommodations and some restaurants. ATMs limited—withdraw funds in Campbell River before crossing.
Packing
Bring tide tables if visiting petroglyphs. Kayak and bike rentals available at some accommodations. No supplies on-island beyond basic provisions.
Transport
BC Ferries connects Quadra Island to Campbell River ($10.30 passenger, 10 min crossing) and Cortes Island ($12.05 passenger, 40 min crossing). Water taxis offer flexible island-hopping options.
Weather
Maritime climate with mild temperatures year-round. Pack layers and rain gear regardless of season. Best conditions for outdoor activities May through October.
