Overview
Pulau Hatta is a small island in the Banda Islands chain offering pristine beaches and excellent snorkeling and diving with healthy coral reefs. Originally named Rozengain Island, it was renamed to honor Mohammad Hatta, Indonesia's first Vice President who was exiled in Banda Neira.

Accommodation
Book accommodation in advance as options are limited. Full board (all meals) is mandatory at Rp250,000/person/night. Solo travelers pay 20% more.
Connectivity
No internet available. Only Telkomsel mobile network works on the island. Electricity runs only 3-4 hours in the evening.
Money
Full board accommodation costs Rp250,000 per person per night (Oct 2018). Beer costs approximately Rp35,000. Day trips by chartered boat from Neira Island range from Rp1,000,000-Rp1,300,000.
Transport
Public boat to Neira Island runs every two days, departing early morning from Hatta and returning 11AM-1PM. Boat does not operate on Fridays.
Water
The Old Village has no independent water supply. Use water sparingly during your stay.
