Overview

Providenciales is the most developed island in the Turks and Caicos Islands, known for its miles of soft white sand beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters. The island transformed from a sparsely populated salt-harvesting settlement in the 1960s into a luxury resort destination after Club Med opened in 1984.
