Overview
Pravaranagar (also called Loni-pravara) is a small rural town 25 km south of Shirdi, best known as the site of Asia's first co-operative sugar factory established in the late 1950s. The town marks the birthplace of India's co-operative movement in agriculture, transforming 44 surrounding villages.
