Overview
Pozantı sits at 780 m elevation at the north edge of the Cilician Plains, astride the only practical route through the Taurus Mountains. The Cilician Gates mountain pass crests at 1000 m, and for millennia armies, pilgrims, traders and tourists have traversed this corridor between central Anatolia and the Mediterranean coast.
