Overview
Posio draws nature enthusiasts to Finnish Lapland's quieter southeastern corner, where hundreds of lakes punctuate forested highlands and thousands of private holiday cabins line the shores. The area is famous for Kitkan viisas, a small PDO-protected vendace considered a regional delicacy, and for the Pentik Mäki Culture Centre, which attracts around 100,000 Finnish design admirers annually to its gallery and ceramic factory.
