Overview
Porvoo is one of Finland's six medieval towns and the country's second oldest city after Turku, dating to the 13th century. Its greatest appeal lies in Vanha Porvoo (Old Porvoo)—a remarkably intact wooden house district with cobbled narrow lanes that has survived modern urban sprawl.
