Overview
Pori is a traditional Finnish industrial city of 83,000 people in Western Finland's Satakunta region. Founded in 1558, it was one of the oldest cities in the country and retains Neo-Renaissance architecture downtown alongside beautiful red-brick industrial facilities along the Kokemäenjoki river.

Food
Lunch restaurants offer good value at €8-10. Local "porilainen" street food is available at market square until 14:00. Kebab and pizza shops are everywhere, often open late.
Money
Finland uses the Euro (€). Credit and debit cards are widely accepted throughout the city.
Nightlife
Bars and clubs concentrate along Yrjönkatu. Most venues have 18+ age limit, some require 20. Summer brings outdoor bars at Eteläranta riverside.
Transport
Local buses run every 30-60 minutes. Buy 10 tickets via the Kyyti Likel app for €25 (each valid 2 hours). Single tickets via NFC bank card at machines.
Weather
Summer (June-August) is best for beach activities. Winter offers ice hockey and snow. July hosts the international Pori Jazz Festival.
