Overview
Ponte de Lima is the oldest registered village in Portugal, dating to 1125, and draws visitors to its iconic two-part bridge spanning the River Lima—one Roman, one medieval. The town is the heart of the Vinho Verde wine region and hosts some of Minho's most exuberant popular festivals, notably the three-day Feiras Novas in September.
