Accommodation
No youth hostels exist in the area as of 2022. Only a few guesthouses are available. Budget travelers should book well in advance.
Festivals
Gay pride festival takes place the second week of May. Caravale festival is in February. Tourist offices mostly open only during these events.
Money
Currency is the Euro (€). ATMs are widely available in the resort area. Nightlife can be expensive with reports of clubs charging €35 for a beer.
Safety
Avoid accepting scratch cards or bracelets from strangers on the promenade. Some nightclubs may overcharge aggressively.
Transport
City buses and taxis serve the resort area. Walking is practical for the compact tourist zone. Bus stop 'Yumbo' provides access to the main shopping center.
